Did Tim Donaghy Ruin The NBA?

I love sports. I just love watching basketball after the football season is over. You name it. I will watch it...

High School basketball, college basketball and Professional basketball.

And then comes along Tim Donaghy, the NBA referee in the middle of the point-shaving scandal.

Really sad...

I never gamble because I've seen what it does to people at the casinos. I've seen local people get so worked up when an casino opens up near their town...

People do crazy things when they lose money. Lots of money. And then comes along Tim Donaghy.

Is he a victim?

I'm not sure. He willingly gambled and lost a lot of money. It was his responsibility and I personally think he blew it.

He got into trouble with the Mob and the next thing you know...

Tim is covering whatever his Mob bookie wants him too...

Quite frankly, I feel a little dirty...

I may not watch the NBA much this season until they fix the problem

And what is the problem? I think everyone forgot what basketball is all about. Basketball is bigger than any one star, owner, or referee. It is the spectators.

Without them, all the NBA stars who make millions would have to work 9-5 jobs -- just like the rest of us.

OMG! 75% of US Adults will be Overweight by 2015

I don't know how long this article will be posted on Fox but here is the link:

75 Percent of U.S. Adults Will Be Overweight by 2015, Study Says

I believe it is around 66% right now. That is right. 66% of U.S. adults are either overweight or obese. And it is no laughing matter...

Some of my readers will absolutely know what it costs them to be overweight. Medical problems, lack of mobility, poor performance at work due to being tired and so on...

And 41% of the U.S. adults will be obese by 2015. And that my friend is a VERY serious matter. Now we are talking about a serious threat to life...

And what is even more scary is that women and some ethnic populations tend to have a larger proportion of overweight people.

For instance, 80% of Black women over the age of 40 are overweight and 50% of those overweight Black women are obese.

And those living in the southeast -- probably deep south are more likely to be overweight than those who live elsewhere.

The article doesn't conclude WHY exactly but I suspect it is the diet. You see, I believe that our bodies were designed to be lean, mean and healthy but when we feed ourselves with foods that our bodies were not designed for -- all that calories gets saved as fat.

The greatest paradox is that foods that are tasty and plentiful to us -- is killing us by putting ourselves in great danger.

And not to mention being the most miserable experience ever visited on humans. Being humiliated that our body parts jiggle. Being envious of the people who are skinny and wear sexy clothing.

When you are ready -- I mean it. When you are ready, that is the only time you are ever going to fix the overweight problem.

So when you are just mad enough... when you are just humiliated enough... to make that MASSIVE change in your approach to diet and exercise...

ONLY then -- you will succeed. And forget about everyone else. Especially the negative vibes from the "discouragement fraternity."

When you are ready, take a look at some of the books that I have reviewed that is going to work for you because YOU decided to take responsibility and make a change in the way you look and feel about your body.
